Over the past 480 million years, insects have evolved adaptations that allow them to survive and thrive better than any other group of animals on Earth. Join us for the chance to learn about the many unusual ways that arthropods have changed their bodies and behavior in order to accomplish this feat. We will discuss the many incredible ways that insects have changed over time from the inside out and how these changes have allowed them to dominate the natural world. Students will get the chance to handle living examples of these adaptive traits including tarantulas, scorpions, crabs, mantids, beetles, and more!
